CPA with three years-plus experience in Accounting and Tax, or Equivalent

Nagano & Morita is looking for a Managerial Audit Accountant at the Los Angeles office, to fulfill the following duties:

To manage the auditing group and four staff accountants, and to execute, or to supervise others in executing, the below tasks:

• Analyze, financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital to verify the accuracy of the client company's internal records and check for mismanagement, waste, or fraud;

• Apply principals of accounting to analyze financial information to examine and evaluate the client company’s financial and information systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure that records are accurate and controls are adequate to protect against fraud and waste;

• Ensure that clients comply with periodic tax payments, information reporting, and other tax requirements;

• Advise clients regarding record keeping and accounting control procedures, and

• Review client company operations - evaluating their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures, laws, and government regulations.

Required are: A four year bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent; a Certified Public Accountant's license in California; and ability to speak, read and write Japanese fluently.
