Full Time Position

Nagano & Morita is looking for a Managerial Accountant at the San Diego office to fulfill the following duties:

Manage the San Diego office and four staff accountants to execute, or to supervise others in executing, the below tasks:

• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize the financial position of a client company;
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts documenting business transactions;
• Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports;
• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns
• Ensure that clients comply with periodic tax payments, information reporting, and other tax requirements; Advise clients regarding record keeping and accounting control procedures; and Conduct audits, and to be involved in other general accounting matters for clients.
• Knowledge and experience working with Japanese taxation law.

Requirements:

• A four year bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, or foreign equivalent.
• Minimum of two years work experience in finance, economics, or accounting; Certified Public Accountant's license in California; and
• The ability to speak, read and write Japanese fluently.
